#December ~ Meet The Advertisers on #AliTheDragonSlayer

I have opened up the blog to welcome in some lovely advertisers/sponsors. I’m lucky to have so many friendly followers and supporters across all my social media sites so it’s the ideal way to share the skills of other people and maybe you will discover somebody you haven’t met yet!

So without further ado I will introduce the advertisers/sponsors for December, they will be popping up all over my sites during the month so give them some love and a follow as well as checking out their sites, books, skills etc 🙂 xx

Carol Wyer

As a child Carol Wyer was always moving, and relied on humour to fit in at new schools. A funny short story won her popularity, planting the seed of becoming a writer. Her career spans dry cleaning, running a language teaching company, and boxercise coaching. Now writing full-time, Carol has several books published by Safkhet and journalism in many magazines.

After turning to the #Darkside she has three crime thrillers published by Bookouture with the fourth following next week!

The boy studied the bruise turning yellow at the base of his neck. With quick fingers his mother tightened his tie, and pulled his collar high above it. Her eyes alone said, We will not speak of this

Years later, a man is found shot dead in a local park. On his phone is a draft text: I can’t keep this secret any longer. The recipient is unnamed.

Detective Robyn Carter knows this secret is the key to the case, but his friends and family don’t offer any clues, and all her team have to go on is a size-ten footprint.

Then a nurse is found in a pool of blood at the bottom of her staircase, and a seemingly insignificant detail in her friend’s statement makes Robyn wonder: are the two bodies connected, and has the killer only just begun?

When another body confirms Robyn’s worst fears, she realises she’s in a race against time to stop the killer before they strike again. But just as she thinks she’s closing in, one of her own team goes missing.

Buried in the past is a terrible injustice. Can Robyn uncover the truth before another life is lost?

I have read books 1-3 in the Detective Robyn Carter series and enthused wildly over them all .. I’m delighted to say I will be on the blog tour for book 4 on 7th December!

Devious, ruthless, and loyal.
Zenka is a capricious Hungarian with a dark past.
When cranky London mob boss, Jack Murray, saves her life she vows to become his guardian angel – whether he likes it or not. Happily, she now has easy access to pistols, knives and shotguns.
Jack discovers he has a son, Nicholas, a male nurse with a heart of gold. Problem is, Nicholas is a wimp.
Zenka takes charges. Using her feminine wiles and gangland contacts, she will make Nicholas into the sort of son any self-respecting crime boss would be proud of. And she succeeds!
Nicholas transforms from pussycat to mad dog, falls in love with Zenka, and finds out where the bodies are buried – because he buries them. He’s learning fast that sometimes you have to kill, or be killed.
As his life becomes more terrifying, questions have to be asked:
How do you tell a mob boss you don’t want to be his son?
And is Zenka really who she says.

Victoria J Brown

Victoria J.Brown has always had a passion for writing. When asked at the age of 9 years old, what she wanted to be when she grew up, her reply ‘an author’ was met with a disheartened response, ‘that jobs like that, don’t happen to people like us!’

Luckily, Victoria didn’t listen to this advice and never gave up on her passion.  She continued to write while perusing a career in Marketing after gaining a BA (Hons) in Business and Marketing.

In 2006 her eldest daughter was born and then two years later her 2nd daughter came along. Victoria realised in the midst of the mummy madness, that she’d let her writing dwindle and that nappy-changing, sleepless nights and not being able to go to the toilet in peace could not stop her fulfilling her writing dreams. So when her girls were 3 years old and 18 months old, she decided that sleep was over-rated and enrolled at Teesside University. A year later she proudly left with a MA in Creative Writing, some wonderful friendships and a passion for therapeutic writing. While studying for her MA she was also delighted to win a short-story competition judged by Adele Parks, to which she received publication and mentoring from Adele.

After her MA, Victoria concentrated on writing women’s fiction. She loves writing stories that women can relate to. The Chaos Series grew from her own experience of pregnancy, motherhood and life.

Victoria is also passionate about mental health and likes to write of such issues in her stories. Her dedication to mental health and living life to the full has led her down a spiritual path. Through her learning of spirituality she qualified as a Law of Attraction and NLP Practitioner, which she integrates into her writing. Her inspirational blog includes an A-Z motivational journey with weekly therapeutic creative writing exercises. She has developed this further and will soon launch her inspirational shop. The shop has been created to pass on positivity and love to others … you never know when someone may need to see those messages.

Being accepted by Bombshell Books is a dream come true for Victoria, she hopes that her mantra for giving love always and never giving up will inspire others to follow their dreams and passion.

If you’re interested in finding out more about Victoria, her inspirational blog and shop you can visit Here  plus you can follow her on:

Claire Boley

Claire has been writing articles on different subjects including hand spinning and natural dyeing, pottery preserving fruit and hanging baskets for a number of years in national magazines. If Only I’d Listened is her debut novel but second book. The first was a craft book that she was commissioned to write – Hand Spinning and Natural Dyeing back in 2011. Her novel is based in London in 1965 when Samantha a 16 year old school girl gets pregnant by her 6th form boy friend Peter Knight. Sam spends most of the nine months in and out of hospital while Pete spends his time studying for his A levels to hopefully go to university. Along the way his mates encourage him to go out and about to pubs and clubs in the West end.

She was born in Exeter Devon. Aged six she moved with her parents to Winslow in Buckinghamshire where she went to school in Aylesbury. In between lessons she used to tell stories to her school friends which they seemed to enjoy. After leaving school the story telling went on the back burner as she left home to train as a nurse. She didn’t start writing seriously until she retired. It was when she read an article on bread making by a friend in a national magazine in W.H Smith, she thought I can do that and she did.

IS YOUR GIRLFRIEND PREGNANT?
How ready are you for that?
How would you deal with becoming a parent before
you’ve left school?
One thing’s for sure, you can’t unmake babies. A fact that’s borne in on Peter Knight and Samantha Smithson, sixth formers at the South East Comprehensive in Deptford, living at a time when many parents are still of the old
school and pregnancy outside marriage carries a stigma.
Having to face their parents, their school friends, teachers and gossip is only
the beginning. Pete’s plans for university are scotched as he must seek
work and accommodation suitable for a young family. And all
the time he still wants to have fun, with ‘friends’ quite
happy to tempt him to do it.
As for Samantha, abortion is no easy option. Yet as her health and
her faith in Peter goes up and down, she may have
to think the unthinkable.

Crave showcases many, many awesome photos from their vintage collection, interesting articles on a multitude of musical/guitar knowledge/facts/events. Keep an eye open, sometimes these instruments go up for sale!

The Things We Learn When We’re Dead: A modern fairytale of love and loss that weaves together the inner conflicts of a young woman’s life.

On the way home from a dinner party she didn’t want to attend, Lorna Love steps into the path of an oncoming car. When she wakes up she is in what appears to be a hospital – but a hospital in which her nurse looks like a young Sean Connery, she is served wine for supper, and everyone avoids her questions.

It soon transpires that she is in Heaven, or on HVN. Because HVN is a lost, dysfunctional spaceship, and God the aging hippy captain. She seems to be there by accident. Or does God have a higher purpose after all?

At first Lorna can remember nothing. As her memories return – some good, some bad – she realises that she has decisions to make and that she needs to find a way home…

I have a copy of The Things We Learn When We’re Dead which is rapidly working it’s way up my TBR!

It’s 1911 and Winifred Duffy is a determined young woman eager for new experiences, for a life beyond the grocer’s shop counter ruled over by her domineering mother.

The scars of Bill Howarth’s troubled childhood linger. The only light in his life comes from a chance encounter with Winifred, the girl he determines to make his wife.

Meeting her friend Honora’s silver-tongued brother turns Winifred’s heart upside down. But Honora and Conal disappear, after a suffrage rally turns into a riot, and abandoned Winifred has nowhere to turn but home.

The Great War intervenes, sending Bill abroad to be hardened in a furnace of carnage and loss. When he returns his dream is still of Winifred and the life they might have had… Back in Lancashire, worn down by work and the barbed comments of narrow-minded townsfolk, Winifred faces difficult choices in love and life.

A Hundred Tiny Threads is on my TBR and I’m really looking forward to it.

If you would like to book a slot please email me: alison-drew62@hotmail.co.uk  to specify which package you are interested in.

If you decide to go-ahead and I have availability I will need the following:

  • An Advertising button of choice (your book cover or website/blog header/image)
  • Your Blog/Website URL
  • Your Twitter link
  • Your Facebook Page link
  • Your Instagram link
  • Your Pinterest link
  • Your Google+ link
  • Your Tumblr link

It isn’t necessary for you to have all social media accounts because I will still promote on mine, it simply means I won’t be able to tag you.

If you choose Package Six a photo and small bio with any relevant links will be needed so I can create a post about you.

Once we have agreed on a package to suit us both I will ask for payment via Paypal or bank transfer to confirm a slot. I’m extremely flexible and friendly so please do get in touch with any queries.

There will be ten spaces available each month on a first come first served basis. If I can’t accommodate you on the first available month you can be added to a waiting list. If you book two or more months at the same time a 10% discount will be applied.

Disclaimer:

Each month will run from the 1st to last day. If you are not active with your blog posts, tweets etc during the month you paid for I reserve the right to choose from your previous content and promote via that. Due to the nature and speed of social media all actions will be posted at various times of the day to capture a larger audience.
