#January ~ Meet The Advertisers on #AliTheDragonSlayer

I have opened up the blog to welcome in some lovely advertisers/sponsors. I’m lucky to have so many friendly followers and supporters across all my social media sites so it’s the ideal way to share the skills of other people and maybe you will discover somebody you haven’t met yet!

So without further ado I will introduce the advertisers/sponsors for January, they will be popping up all over my sites during the month so give them some love and a follow as well as checking out their sites, books, skills etc 🙂 xx

Claire Boley

Claire has been writing articles on different subjects including hand spinning and natural dyeing, pottery preserving fruit and hanging baskets for a number of years in national magazines. If Only I’d Listened is her debut novel but second book. The first was a craft book that she was commissioned to write – Hand Spinning and Natural Dyeing back in 2011. Her novel is based in London in 1965 when Samantha a 16 year old school girl gets pregnant by her 6th form boy friend Peter Knight. Sam spends most of the nine months in and out of hospital while Pete spends his time studying for his A levels to hopefully go to university. Along the way his mates encourage him to go out and about to pubs and clubs in the West end.
She was born in Exeter Devon. Aged six she moved with her parents to Winslow in Buckinghamshire where she went to school in Aylesbury. In between lessons she used to tell stories to her school friends which they seemed to enjoy. After leaving school the story telling went on the back burner as she left home to train as a nurse. She didn’t start writing seriously until she retired. It was when she read an article on bread making by a friend in a national magazine in W.H Smith, she thought I can do that and she did.

How ready are you for that?
How would you deal with becoming a parent before
you’ve left school?
One thing’s for sure, you can’t unmake babies. A fact that’s borne in on Peter Knight and Samantha Smithson, sixth formers at the South East Comprehensive in Deptford, living at a time when many parents are still of the old
school and pregnancy outside marriage carries a stigma.
Having to face their parents, their school friends, teachers and gossip is only
the beginning. Pete’s plans for university are scotched as he must seek
work and accommodation suitable for a young family. And all
the time he still wants to have fun, with ‘friends’ quite
happy to tempt him to do it.
As for Samantha, abortion is no easy option. Yet as her health and
her faith in Peter goes up and down, she may have
to think the unthinkable.

Devious, ruthless, and loyal.
Zenka is a capricious Hungarian with a dark past.
When cranky London mob boss, Jack Murray, saves her life she vows to become his guardian angel – whether he likes it or not. Happily, she now has easy access to pistols, knives and shotguns.
Jack discovers he has a son, Nicholas, a male nurse with a heart of gold. Problem is, Nicholas is a wimp.
Zenka takes charges. Using her feminine wiles and gangland contacts, she will make Nicholas into the sort of son any self-respecting crime boss would be proud of. And she succeeds!
Nicholas transforms from pussycat to mad dog, falls in love with Zenka, and finds out where the bodies are buried – because he buries them. He’s learning fast that sometimes you have to kill, or be killed.
As his life becomes more terrifying, questions have to be asked:
How do you tell a mob boss you don’t want to be his son?
And is Zenka really who she says.

Crave Guitars

Welcome to the world of CRAVE Guitars. The name ‘CRAVE’ is a play on words; as an acronym, it stands for ‘Cool & Rare American Vintage Electric’ guitars, while its literal meaning is ‘to yearn for’ or ‘to want greatly’, which seems eminently appropriate.

Crave showcases many, many awesome photos from their vintage collection, interesting articles on a multitude of musical/guitar knowledge/facts/events. Keep an eye open, sometimes these instruments go up for sale!
