Cherry Donaldson goes through dates like some women go through coffee. So when she find herself in need of a temporary roommate, saying yes to the gorgeous guy—even if he’s not her usual type—is a bad idea. A very bad idea.
The last thing she expects is to fall into a friendship with Jared. But he makes it so easy. And before she knows it, the lines blur and his annoying habits become just a little bit charming.
Will Cherry break her own rules to take a chance on the guy she now calls a friend, or is The Truth About Love too much to bear?

I read and reviewed the first in this series a couple of months ago (Review Here) and have been longing to see if this one reaches any conclusions. Previously we had Eve and Cameron’s story, this instalment focuses on Eve’s bestie Cherry.
Eve has to vacate the flat they share for a while to take care of her sick mother, meanwhile out of the blue Jared asks Cherry if she needs a temporary room mate, Cherry is not keen on having a boy to share but realises the rent money will come in handy.
She is adamant there will be nothing other than polite, courteous behaviour and they will tolerate each other. Jared manages to annoy Cherry at every turn!
Eve is struggling, Cherry knows the background relationship she has with her mother but there is nothing she can do to help.
As much as Cherry has vowed not to have another relationship Jared does his utmost to make himself helpful, he is a demon cook, could this be a way of breaking down her reservations!?
This is such a sweet story, the second novella in a series of four and as soon as I started reading I remembered why I enjoyed the first one so much. The writing is so easy, the characters so believable, you really wish you could be there to offer advice. I like all of them which is quite unusual and as much as Jared annoyed me at the beginning he rapidly showed his nicer/caring side.
There is a lot contained in a small amount of space and the ability to keep me on edge and to read it in one sitting and still leave me wanting more is quite an achievement. While it may appear as yet another NA romance there is a lot more depth to it than that.
I smiled while reading and felt genuinely sorry when it ended and I can’t wait for the next one! Full of humour, sarcasm, friendship and romance .. you will need to read to find out what becomes of the ‘Smelly Boy’!
Thanks so much to the Anna and Laura for my ARC .. I read and reviewed voluntarily.
