  1. Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions .. plenty to put on my wish list now! Good luck everyone xx

  2. The Rose Petal Beach by Dorothy Koomson.

A new author to me but after reading this I need to track all her other books. A real thriller which kept me enthralled from beginning to end, one I just could not put down

  3. The Shepherd’s crown by terry pratchett but it was bittersweet as its the last of his books 🙁

  4. The Three by Sarah Lotz, it’s a fantastic thriller and the story is told in a really clever way

  5. I managed to get a copy of Dreadnought with good manners – great book.

  6. My favourite book which I have read this year is ” We bought a Zoo” by Benjamin Mee, which is a true story about mmy local zoo

  7. My current read ‘Mistress of the Court’ by Laura Purcell, not finished yet but it had me hooked from page one.

  8. Coincidentally it was The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie. Dont often read a book all in one go, but this was so good it had to be done

  9. I’ve just finished reading ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’, the fourth book in the Millennium series 🙂

  10. This book looks really interesting. I haven’t read this book before or any other books by this author and would enjoy the chance to discover what this book and the author are all about.

  11. The book that’s touched me the most was When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr. I normally read crime fiction, some literary fiction, but winning a hardbook copy of the Tiger who came to tea reminded me that I’ve been meaning to read about pink rabbit for years. And it didn’t disappoint, buy it for your preteens, it’s very topical.
